Frequently asked questions

What is a bridge day?
A bridge day is a working day between a public holiday and the weekend. Booking it as vacation usually turns one vacation day into four consecutive days off.
How does the planner compute suggestions?
It checks every possible vacation block in the year, extends it over adjacent weekends and holidays and compares it with a plain vacation of the same length. Only blocks that yield more time off are suggested, ranked by days off per vacation day.
Are school holidays considered?
Yes. You can ignore school holidays, avoid them or only allow suggestions during breaks. Dates come per state, canton or region from the OpenHolidaysAPI.
Which countries are supported?
Germany with all 16 states, Austria with all 9 states and Switzerland with all 26 cantons. Plus France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Czechia and Sweden.
Does it cost anything?
No. The planner is free, needs no account and shows no ads. Your inputs stay in your browser and in the URL you can share.
